Senior Quality Engineer for Contract Manufacturing

Drive quality activities related to contract manufacturing (CM) services, including supplier qualification, supplier performance, site audist, corrective actions, final inspection and yield improvements

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining Supplier Quality Management System and processes in line with ISO 13485 QMS requirements; assisting in developing inspection methodology and sampling plans in line with CM quality rating and process capability; driving/verifying RoHs Compliance at the CM in compliance with EU-2002/95/EC Standard for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances; and providing ongoing analysis and trending of defined key metrics
  • Manage/coordinate and train third party quality outsource activities; review/approve all source inspection reports and audit results submitted; analyze defect conditions and materials to drive corrective action and continuous improvement efforts at the CM; and provide documented quality plans to ensure product quality throughout life
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline and 5-10 years direct experience in Quality engineering/supplier management required (Master's degree preferred)
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt; proven experience using PPAP methodology and tools; and knowledge of double documentation control systems (including BOMs, revision control, ECOs and product traceability), requirements of ISO9001:2000, process validation, SPC, DOE, FMEA, and TQM problem solving methods
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and IPC-A-610, prior experience in package assembly in an engineering capacity and in a semiconductor wafer fab, and ASQ/CQA/CQE are desirable
